Mike's Story “I never
thought I could do the things I can do----that I could live a normal life,” Mike
Beavis recalls. Faith Farm Ministries, he says, was the tool God used to change
his life. I went to Faith Farm thinking it was a prison-type deal,” he says. “But I found a place where the love of God is shown. I learned that Jesus Christ is going to love me no matter what I do or say. If I mess up tomorrow, I’m forgiven. He gave me dreams and aspirations. He showed me I am the future. After two successful years of college, Mike started his own contracting business. “God put it in my heart to do it and gave me confidence. Not to step off the cliff and test God, but that my thoughts are His thoughts. When you get in line with that, you become an unstoppable force.” Now a successful business owner and father of four, Mike is counting his blessings, believe me, I know where they come from.” He adds incredulously. Nine years ago, I wasn’t even trusted with $20 to go to the grocery store. Mike contemplated going into full-time ministry, but God had other plans. “He told me, You’re doing what I want you to do.” My business is my ministry. I’m blessed to be giving. I truly believe God is raising people up, like Joseph or Daniel, to be leaders in places of influence so we can influence people, communities, nations. We are lifted up so He is lifted up.” Mike---and so many others like him---have found welcome, pardon, cleansing, and a future filled with hope at Faith Farm. Maurice's Story When I came to Faith Farm Ministries, I was a man broken and lost in despair. I was shattered from my sin. I had lost everything and my back was against the wall. The pain was unbearable. I had no where to run but to the Lord. I cried out to Him to help me and He did. The folks here welcomed me with open arms and didn’t judge me. At Faith Farm Ministries, I came to know Christ as my Savior and Lord. I was a man who served sin and death. I lied, stile and cheated. But because of His love for me, God healed me and restored me. He showed me His faithfulness and gave me understanding of who I am in Christ.
While
at Faith Farm’s program, I went from being a man who took no responsibility for
my life to a man who chooses to act responsibly in all situations. You can’t
help but change when you do things God’s way. I choose to live by His Word and
pursue His best without compromise. Relieve: Not only have I graduated from
Faith Farm Ministries’ program, God has restored my marriage! I’m so thankful to
God for bringing me to Faith Farm. I owe it to Jesus Christ who save me, to my
family who depends on me, to my church who instructs me, to my generation who
needs my example and to myself because I am a man of God.
