THE SLS PROGRAM

SLS PROGRAM is a post graduate program for men and women with a 1 year commitment focusing on developing Christian leadership skills. These students are selected on an ongoing basis by the campus faculty after their application is submitted following Phase 1 graduation. The candidates assist in the classrooms, oversee morning worship, lead in the workplace and serve in the church while receiving biblically based instruction on a daily basis. This program is used also as a proving ground for continued service in the ministry through employment with Faith Farm at it's various campus locations.

         

THE OMEGA PROGRAM

The Omega Program at our Fort Lauderdale and Boynton Beach Campus' are designed to prepare and equip students who have graduated Phase 1 and have decided to continue their ministry training. The Omega Work Program provides housing, meals and spiritual guidance to men who choose to pursue a career off site in the Fort Lauderdale area. The Omega College Program allows graduates to continue their education in various fields to create a clean start while continuing to live and interact with students on the campus.

The following is the student criteria for eligibility to apply to the Omega program:

• Currently enrolled and has satisfactorily completed Phase 1
• Has attended program commencement and received Program Completion certification for Phase 1
• Seeks fulltime employment or enrollment in school fulltime
• Wants to maintain a residential status and become more involved with the ministry

 Faith Farm Career Center: prior to finding a job a career specialist will assist the student in finding a job or enrolling in school. Also a resume will be produced to maximize the individuals job potential along with inspecting background information available to potential employers. A counselor will find potential scholarships and funding for continued education. In the career center students are given time to view potential employment or educational opportunities online.

The Sequential Process:

1. To start the process the Career Specialist attends a Class 6 session several weeks prior to the last day of class to explain the Omega process. He also distributes the Class 6 Transition Plan for the students to complete and hand in before the end of the presentation.

2. The Career Specialist reviews the Class 6 Transition Plans and identifies the students who are interested in  pursuing the Omega Program. He will schedule individual one-on-one sessions to complete the Omega Eligibility form and Background Authorization form. If these forms do not produce any information to disqualify a student from Omega admission the process continues.

3. The student is given the Omega Application to complete and once completed gives it to his immediate supervisor.

4. The immediate supervisor completes his assessment on the Omega Application and gives it to the director.

5. The director completes his assessment and returns the application to the Omega Supervisor.

6. If both the immediate supervisor and director agree that the student is eligible to participate in the Omega program then the Omega supervisor is notified, who in turn, notifies the Career Specialist to begin the Career Center process.

7. Additional requirements for admission to the Omega College Program calls for the student to submit to the Omega supervisor his choice of curriculum which must include course length, any pre-requisite requirements and internships or outside job involvement. Final approval is done on a case-by-case basis by the director.
